New York Giants rookie receiver Kadarius Toney apologized Monday for throwing a punch and getting ejected from Sunday’s loss at Dallas.

“Wanna take the time out to apologize to the entire organization, Owners, My Teammates and the entire #BigBlue … your emotions just can get the best of you sometimes…..No Excuses just actions,” he posted on Twitter.

His fourth-quarter ejection in Sunday's 44-20 loss in Arlington, Texas, came after a breakout performance by the 20th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Toney, 22, set season highs with 10 catches for 189 yards and also rushed once for 7 yards. He has 20 receptions for 281 yards in five games this season.

After Cowboys safety Damontae Kazee tossed Toney to the turf after the whistle, Toney got to his feet and threw a punch at Kazee's helmet. It happened with about six minutes left and New York trailing 34-13.

"There's a pretty distinct line in terms of competing and doing things we're not going to condone as a team and put us behind," Giants coach Joe Judge said after the game. "That's not going to be accepted. That's not going to be condoned."

NFL Network reported that Toney is likely to be fined but not suspended by the league.
