The Colorado Rapids signed 17-year-old goalkeeper Adam Beaudry to a four-year homegrown player contract in Wednesday.

The contract includes an option for the 2028 and 2029 seasons.

Beaudry, from Castle Pines, Colo., made his pro debut with Rapids 2 on April 30, 2023. In 16 matches, all starts, he posted three clean sheets.

He was a finalist for 2023 MLS NEXT Pro goalkeeper of the year honors.

“It was important for us to keep Adam here in Colorado and we’re happy to add him to the first team,” head coach Chris Armas said. “He is a bright, young, talented goalkeeper who also has the right attitude that can help him maximize his potential.”

Beaudry has extensive international experience, including playing for the United States during the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia. The team reached the knockout stage.
