CSGO: Gambit sweep Natus Vincere for IEM Season 16 Fall CIS title

Gambit Esports wrapped up a successful week of play by sweeping Natus Vincere on Sunday in the Grand Final of the Intel Extreme Masters Season XVI — Fall: Commonwealth of Independent States event.

Na’Vi came into the Grand Final after going 5-0 in group play and sweeping Virtus.pro in their playoff opener, but quickly ran into trouble against Gambit.

Gambit opened the final with a 16-7 win on Overpass, led by Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov’s 22 kills to just 10 deaths.

On the second map, Mirage, Na’Vi jumped ahead 8-7, but Gambit rallied in the second half for a 16-11 victory.

Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov (23 kills, 17 deaths) and sh1ro (23-15) were key for Gambit on the second map.

Gambit earns $17,500 along with 2,500 Regional Major Ranking points and 400 ESL Pro Tour points for the first-place finish.

Na’Vi received $12,000 plus 2,344 RMR points amd 285 ESL points for their second-place finish.
