Jacksonville Jaguars receiver DJ Chark was placed on injured reserve Monday due to the fractured left ankle he sustained during Thursday’s 24-21 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Chark’s injury will likely end his season. He has seven catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Chark was injured on a running play in which he was blocking. Chark’s leg got rolled up on by teammates James Robinson and Jawaan Taylor as Robinson gained 6 yards on Jacksonville’s third offensive snap of the game.

Chark, 25, has caught 147 passes for 2,042 yards and 15 touchdowns in 43 games (30 starts) over four NFL seasons. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2019 when he recorded career bests of 73 receptions, 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns.

The second-round pick in 2018 is in the final season of his rookie contract and slated to become a free agent following the season.

Jacksonville also placed right guard A.J. Cann on injured reserve due to a MCL injury in his right knee.

Cann, who turns 30 this month, has started 94 of 95 games played during his seven seasons with the Jaguars. He had missed just five games in his career prior to this injury.

Jacksonville also activated offensive tackle Walker Little from the COVID-19 list. Little, 22, was a second-round draft pick from Stanford in the recent NFL draft.

The Jaguars (0-4) host the Tennessee Titans (2-2) on Sunday.
