The Colorado Rockies on Tuesday signed right-handed starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela to a five-year extension and first baseman C.J. Cron to a two-year extension.

Financial terms were not released. However, ESPN first reported Senzatela’s is worth $50.5 million, while MLB.com reports Cron’s is worth $14.5 million.

Senzatela’s deal keeps him locked up through the 2026 season, with a club option for 2027. Senzatela will make $7.25 million the next two seasons and $12 million each year after. The club option is worth $14 million, per ESPN.

Senzatela, 26, went 4-10 with a 4.42 ERA in 28 starts this past season. Overall he is 36-35 in 124 games (98 starts) in five seasons, all in Colorado.

Cron, 31, hit a career-high .281 with 28 home runs and a career-high 92 RBIs in 2021, his first season with the Rockies. He would have become a free agent in November. He’s a career .261 hitter with 146 home runs in eight seasons with the Los Angeles Angels (2014-17), Tampa Bay Rays (2018), Minnesota Twins (2019), Detroit Tigers (2020) and Rockies.

The Rockies finished 74-87, good for fourth in the National League West.

The team named Bill Schmidt its permanent general manager last weekend, removing the interim tag he had been operating under since May. Schmidt took over for Jeff Bridich, who resigned in late April.
