XFL: Sea Dragons sink Renegades, run win streak to five

Ben DiNucci threw for 266 yards and a touchdown as the visiting Seattle Sea Dragons defeated the Arlington Renegades 24-15 for their fifth consecutive victory on Friday in Arlington, Texas.

DiNucci connected with Josh Gordon for a 24-yard score with eight seconds left in the second quarter, then hit Juwan Green with the two-point conversion pass to give Seattle (5-2) a 21-9 lead.

The Sea Dragons’ Dominik Eberle booted field goals of 44, 33 and 48 yards. DiNucci finished 21 of 32 with one interception.

De’Veon Smith scored two short rushing touchdowns for the Renegades (3-4), who took their third loss in a row. Smith gained 61 yards on 12 carries, while Arlington quarterback Drew Plitt completed 19 of 29 passes for 213 yards and one interception.
