Two of Las Vegas’ stars aligned on Saturday as the Aces’ Kelsey Plum and Raiders tight end Darren Waller got married.

Their romance largely had flown under the radar until earlier this week, when Raiders coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler announced the upcoming wedding while at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Plum posted a series of wedding photos on her social media accounts. She wrote simply, “Him 3.4.23” along with a heart emoji.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal said the two began dating last year.

Plum, 28, was the No. 1 overall pick of the 2017 WNBA Draft. She helped the Aces to their first-ever WNBA championship last season, averaging 20.2 points and 5.1 assists per game. She also won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in women’s 3×3 basketball.

Waller, 30, has spent the past five seasons with the Raiders franchise. Last season, injuries limited him to just nine games (six starts), and he made 28 catches for 388 yards and three touchdowns.

He had back-to-back seasons of more than 1,100 yards in 2019 and 2020.

Last September, he signed a three-year, $51 million contract extension with $22 million in guaranteed money.
