Superstar Caitlin Clark is out of the Indiana Fever’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday in Indianapolis due to a left groin injury.

Clark, the top overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft, had an MRI on Wednesday.

“I think it’s very much a day-to-day thing, how she responds to treatment,” Fever head coach Stephanie White said Thursday morning. “I like to stay in my lane and let our strength and conditioning and our (athletic training) staff do what they do best. But yeah, found out late last night, and then we’ll treat it day-to-day.”

Clark, 23, sat out five games due to a left quad injury before returning to action against the Liberty on June 14. She scored 32 points in her return, but is just 1-for-23 from 3-point range in three games following the game against the Liberty.

The second-year guard is averaging 18.2 points, 8.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds in nine games (all starts) this season for Indiana. Clark is shooting 39.0 percent from the field and 29.5 percent from 3-point range for the Fever (7-7).

Clark won Rookie of the Year honors and made the All-Star and All-WNBA teams in 2024-25 following a record-setting career at Iowa.
