San Antonio Brahmas kicker and YouTuber Donald De La Haye, known online as “Deestroying,” said he suffered multiple neck fractures making a tackle during a UFL game on Saturday.

“Thank yall for the good wishes. Turns out on that tackle, due to bad form, I fractured my neck in a couple places,” he posted Tuesday on social media with a photo of himself wearing a neck brace.

“Although this (stinks), I’m grateful cause it could have been allll bad. Kids, please learn how to tackle with proper form. Thank you Brahmas and UFL for giving me this opportunity, it has been a blast. And thank yall for supporting me on this journey. Imma sit … down now and focus on healing up. Love yall.”

De La Haye, 27, sustained the season-ending injury during the Brahmas’ 20-19 win over the Memphis Showboats.

San Antonio is off to a 2-0 start in the inaugural season of the United Football League. De La Haye did not attempt any field goals this season and the league does not have extra points.

De La Haye’s “Deestroying” YouTube page has more than 5.8 million subscribers. Many of his videos showcase the Costa Rica native’s kicking ability.

He played at UCF as a kickoff specialist from 2015-16 and was briefly a member of the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts in 2019.
