UFC: Rose Namajunas ends Tracy Cortez’s winning streak at Fight Night

Rose Namajunas defeated Tracy Cortez by unanimous decision on Saturday night in their main event women’s flyweight bout at UFC Fight Night in Denver.

The cards read 49-46, 49-46, 48-47 in favor of Namajunas (14-6-0), who has won back-to-back UFC fights following a two-fight skid. Cortez (11-2-0) saw an 11-fight winning streak come to an end, with five of those victories coming in UFC action.

Namajunas landed a total of 119 strikes to Cortez’s 85.

Gabriel Bonfim (16-1-0) also won by unanimous decision, downing Ange Loosa in a welterweight bout. In another welterweight fight, Muslim Salikhov (20-5-0) beat Santiago Ponzinibbio by split decision, taking the cards 29-28, 28-29, 29-28.

Lightweight Jean Silva (14-2-0) and featherweight Julian Erosa (30-12-0) were also winners on Saturday.

A battle between middleweights Abdul Razak Alhassan and Cody Brundage resulted in a no-contest just 37 seconds into the first round due to illegal blows to the back of the head.
