UFC: Amir Albazi wins by split decision at UFC Fight Night

Amir Albazi defeated Kai Kara-France by split decision on Saturday night in their main event flyweight bout at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.

The cards read 47-48, 48-47, 47-48 in favor of Albazi (17-1-0), who won his fifth consecutive UFC fight. Kara-France (24-11-0) has dropped back-to-back bouts, also losing to Brandon Moreno at UFC 277 on July 30, 2022.

Albazi was still able to pick up the victory despite Kara-France landing more total strikes (133-64) and significant strikes (99-43).

In other action, Alex Caceres (21-13-0) defeated Daniel Pineda (28-15-0) by unanimous decision in their featherweight bout, while Jim Miller (36-17-0) knocked out Jesse Butler (12-5-0) in lightweight action.

Tim Elliott (20-12-1), Karine Silva (16-4-0) and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (24-7-0) also won their respective fights.
