Tom Hardy will not return for a potential third season of the crime series MobLand, according to multiple media reports. The decision follows alleged conflicts with producers during filming of the second season.

Citing unnamed sources, outlets including DeadlineVariety, and Puck report that the 48-year-old British actor clashed with showrunner Jez Butterworth and production company 101 Studios. Some sources also claimed Hardy was repeatedly late to set and had tensions with fellow cast members.

While The Hollywood Reporter says discussions are still ongoing, and TMZ describes the situation as “fluid,” several insiders believe Hardy’s departure is likely.

Representatives for Hardy, Paramount+, and 101 Studios have not commented.

The second season of MobLand finished filming in March 2026. Hardy has not been asked to return to set. The series also stars Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. Hardy plays Harry Da Souza, a fixer working for an organised crime family.

MobLand first aired in March 2025. Paramount+ renewed it for a second season three months later.

In earlier interviews, Hardy said working with Mirren and Brosnan was “wonderful.” He also said he preferred the faster pace of television compared to film.
