Washington Spirit defender Anna Heilferty will miss the rest of the 2024 season due to a torn ACL sustained in Friday’s match against the Orlando Pride.

The NWSL club announced the extent of her knee injury on Tuesday.

Heilferty, 25, has played more than 3,000 minutes in 57 appearances since the Spirit selected her with the 19th pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft.

The former Boston University standout helped Washington win the 2021 NWSL championship.
