Racing Louisville FC signed record-setting goalkeeper Katie Lund to a new contract through the 2025 season.

The club announced the deal Friday. Lund, 26, set a NWSL record with 112 saves and posted six clean sheets in 2022.

“I said a year ago that Katie will be in the national team in two or three years if she works hard, has an open mind and challenges herself,” Racing coach Kim Bjorkegren said. “There is no reason to change my words. She already showed last year that she is a great goalkeeper, and I think we will see an even better Katie this year. The fact that she has also grown as a leader will help both her and our team take the next step.”

Lund played every minute of the 2022 regular season and was named to the NWSL Best XI for September/October.

Selected in the 2021 expansion draft from the Washington Spirit, Lund converted a penalty and made the game-winning save against Bayern Munich in The Women’s Cup final that year.
