Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov received a one-game suspension Tuesday after high-sticking Vancouver Canucks defenseman Kyle Burroughs during Monday’s game.

Kuznetsov had a disciplinary hearing Tuesday for the incident behind the Canucks’ net at 16:44 of the second period during the Capitals’ 6-4 home win. He received a two-minute minor penalty. Burroughs was not injured.

Kuznetsov contributed three assists in the game, including his 500th career point.

Kuznetsov, 30, has 153 goals and 347 assists in 603 career games since making his debut with Washington in 2014.
