The Seattle Seahawks signed kicker Jason Myers to a four-year contract extension on Wednesday, with multiple media outlets reporting the deal to be worth $21.1 million.

Myers is now the second-highest paid kicker in the NFL in average annual value ($5,275,000) behind only the Baltimore Ravens’ Justin Tucker ($6 million). Incentives could raise the value of the deal by $1.5 million, per the ESPN report.

“We wanted to stay here the whole time,” Myers told the team’s website. “We had no plans of leaving and we love this organization, the coaching staff, players, everything. I’m so excited to be able to stay for four more years at least, hopefully more.

Myers, 31, has spent the past four seasons with Seattle after stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2015-17) and New York Jets (2018). His previous contract was going to expire in March.

In 66 games with the Seahawks, Myers has made 98 of 112 field-goal attempts (87.5 percent), with his longest success coming from 61 yards out. He holds a career kicking percentage of 85.9 percent, having made 195 of 227 field goals across 120 games.
