The NFL slapped San Francisco safety Jimmie Ward with a $20,000 fine and Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey $15,000 for their actions in last week’s NFC Championship Game, NFL Network reported Saturday.

Ward put a vicious hit to the helmet of Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in the fourth quarter of the Rams’ 20-17 win over the Niners. Ward was flagged 15 yards for the hit, which came as Beckham was going to the ground after a 29-yard reception.

Ramsey drew his fine for unsportsmanlike conduct even though he wasn’t flagged during the game. Ramsey got in the face of 49ers kicker Robbie Gould after a field goal to end the first half. Ramsey yelled at Gould and the officials and threw hit helmet.

Rams wide receiver Ben Skowronek was fined $4,000 for an illegal hit, per the report.

The Rams will play the Cincinnati Bengals in next week’s Super Bowl in Los Angeles.
