Pro Football Hall of Fame member Michael Strahan and five others returned safely to Earth on Saturday morning after a brief suborbital space flight.
Strahan was part of Blue Origin’s third human flight this year. Also aboard was Laura Shepard Churchley, the eldest daughter of former NASA astronaut Alan Shepard, and the crew traveled on the New Shepard rocket that was named in his honor.
The rocket took off from a West Texas launch site, and it traveled 10 minutes, 13 seconds with a maximum ascent velocity of 2,244 miles per hour, ABC News reported.
Strahan and the others were greeted as they emerged from the capsule by Jeff Bezos, the billionaire Amazon founder who also owns Blue Origin.
“It’s unreal … I want to go back,” Strahan said after the brief flight.

Strahan, now 50, was a four-time All-Pro selection during his 15 seasons as a defensive end with the New York Giants. He now is an NFL studio analyst for FOX Sports and the co-anchor of “Good Morning America.”
