The Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday acquired cornerback Tre Flowers off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks released the fourth-year player Tuesday, reportedly at his own request after losing his starting job.

Flowers, 26, started Seattle’s first three games but was replaced by Sidney Jones in Week 4. He played only on special teams the past two games.

A fifth-round pick by Seattle out of Oklahoma State in 2018, Flowers started 40 of 47 games with the Seahawks and registered 212 tackles, three interceptions, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two sacks. He has 16 total tackles this season.
