Tanner Tredaway rapped three hits and drove in two runs, and Peyton Graham went 4-for-4 as Oklahoma defeated Notre Dame 6-2 to advance in the winner’s bracket of the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

Notre Dame (41-16) drops down into an elimination game with No. 5 Texas A&M on Tuesday. The Aggies survived by eliminating No. 2 Texas earlier Sunday 10-2.

The winner of that game will take on Oklahoma on Wednesday.

Tredaway singled home Graham in the third inning and then scored on Wallace Clark’s single as the Sooners (44-22) took a 2-0 lead. They padded the lead with three runs in the fifth, and tallied again in the sixth on Tredaway’s single.

The Fighting Irish hitters, meanwhile, could do little damage against Oklahoma starter Cade Horton (5-2). The right-hander scattered five hits and a walk while striking out 11 in six innings.

Notre Dame’s runs came on a two-run homer by David LaManna. Carter Putz went 4-for-4 and scored ahead of LaManna’s blast.

The loss went to Aidan Tyrell (5-2), the second of seven Irish pitchers. He went three innings, surrendering five runs (two earned) on eight hits.
