Colin Castleton scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead host Florida to a 71-55 comeback win over 20th-ranked Florida State on Sunday afternoon in Gainesville, Fla.

The Gators (2-0) ended a seven-game losing streak against their in-state rivals and scored their first win over FSU (1-1) since Nov. 29, 2013 in Gainesville. Florida broke open a physical, defensive struggle in the second half, outscoring the Seminoles 43-25 after trailing 30-28 at halftime.

The Gators had four players score in double figures and held FSU to 33.3 percent shooting (9-for-27) in the second half, ending the game on a 31-13 run. Anthony Duruji finished with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Myreon Jones and Brandon McKissic each finished with 12 points.

Malik Osborne led the Seminoles with a game-high 18 points on 6-for-10 shooting and grabbed six rebounds. Matthew Cleveland also had 11 points and six rebounds for FSU.

No. 18 Tennessee 94, East Tennessee State 62

Olivier Nkamhoua had a career-high 23 points and Kennedy Chandler scored all 16 of his in the first half as the Volunteers rolled over the visiting Buccaneers at Knoxville, Tenn.

Nkamhoua also pulled down eight rebounds and 24-year-old John Fulkerson scored six while adding 10 rebounds in his season debut for the Volunteers (2-0), who held ETSU without a field goal for roughly 12 minutes spanning both halves.

Tennessee has won 11 straight in this series, which started back up for the first time since 2016. Jordan King scored 20 for ETSU, coached by longtime Tennessee assistant Desmond Oliver. The Buccaneers, however, shot just 33.9 percent while dropping to 0-2 on the young season.

No. 23 St. Bonaventure 69, Canisius 60

Kyle Lofton scored 17 points Sunday, including seven straight late in the second half, as the Bonnies overcame an 11-point second-half deficit and averted an upset bid by visiting Golden Griffins.

Lofton’s tie-breaking 3-pointer with 4:01 gave St. Bonaventure the lead for good at 61-58. He added a floater after the media timeout and then drained two free throws to cap a possession in which the Bonnies missed four shots.

Jaren Holmes also had 17 points as St. Bonaventure, which is ranked in the national polls for the first time since 1971, improved to 2-0. St. Bonaventure also improved to 102-67 all-time against Canisius (0-3) in a rivalry that was paused last season due to the pandemic.
