LSU landed a commitment from five-star forward Julian Phillips, the No. 15 overall prospect in the Class of 2022.

The 247Sports composite lists the 6-foot-8 Phillips as the No. 2 overall forward in the class. As native of South Carolina, he is playing this season at Branson (Mo.) Link Academy.

This marks the fifth straight season that LSU and coach Will Wade have a five-star recruit in the class. Phillips is ranked No. 6 all-time on LSU’s list of prospects by 247Sports.

“I have a great relationship with coach Wade, talk with him almost every day,” Phillips told 247Sports earlier this week before committing Friday. “They have a great program down there in Baton Rouge. Their free-flowing offense is something that stood out to me as well.”
