NCAAB: Pepperdine star Michael Ajayi transferring to Gonzaga

Pepperdine star Michael Ajayi announced he is transferring to Gonzaga for the 2024-25 season.

The Washington native confirmed he is “coming home” in his Instagram post on Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-7 wing led the West Coast Conference with 17.2 points per game during his lone season with the Waves.

Ajayi added 9.9 rebounds per game and shot 47.0 percent from 3-point range in 33 starts in 2023-24.

The first-team All-WCC selection transferred to Pepperdine after two seasons at Washington’s Pierce College.

Gonzaga also is a member of the WCC.
