
No. 4 Gonzaga will not play Loyola Marymount Saturday as scheduled due to positive tests in the Bulldogs’ program.
It’s the second game in a row postponed for Gonzaga, which was scheduled to play San Diego on Thursday. Gonzaga (11-2) is working with the West Coast Conference and LMU (7-5) to reschedule the impacted game, the school said in a release.
Pitt and Virginia Tech, also scheduled to play Saturday, has also been postponed because of COVID-19 issues in the Hokies program.
The Atlantic Coast Conference will look to reschedule the game.
The next scheduled game for Pitt (5-8, 0-2 ACC) is Wednesday at Louisville.
This is the second consecutive game postponement for Virginia Tech (8-5, 0-2), which was scheduled to play North Carolina on Wednesday night. The Hokies will hope to be ready to host North Carolina State on Tuesday in ACC action.
In the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, Saturday’s scheduled game between Iona (10-2) and Siena (4-6) was postponed because of issues with the Saints.
