Cameron Corhen scored 16 points as visiting Florida State dealt host Louisville a historic loss in an 81-78 victory in Atlantic Coast Conference play on Saturday.

Corhen shot 7 of 12 from the field and grabbed five rebounds, while Matthew Cleveland added 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Jalen Warley had 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting to go along with five assists.

Darin Green Jr. finished with 12 points and Caleb Mills chipped in 11 points and five rebounds in the Seminoles’ seventh straight win over Louisville dating to February 2019.

The Seminoles (8-16, 6-7), who led 72-57 with 9:12 left, shot 30 of 62 (48.4 percent) from the field, including 8 of 23 (34.8 percent) from 3-point range.

Louisville (3-20, 1-11) has lost 11 of its last 12 games to clinch just its second 20-loss season in team history, which dates back more than a century.

The Cardinals are now just one defeat away from setting a single-season record for futility. Louisville posted a 12-20 record during the 1996-97 season.

The Cardinals were led by El Ellis, who had a game-high 22 points and seven assists. Kamari Lands tied his season high with 15 points, while Jae’Lyn Withers went 4 of 6 from beyond the arc and finished with 14 points.

The Seminoles opened the second half on an 8-0 run to take a 53-36 advantage on Warley’s layup with 17:47 to play.

Trailing 72-57, the Cardinals went on a 17-2 run to tie the game on JJ Traynor’s dunk.

After Corhen’s dunk was followed by Ellis’ layup to tie the game 76, Cleveland’s layup gave the Seminoles a 78-76 edge with 1:04 remaining.

Ellis missed a long 3-pointer before Warley sank a pair of free throws for an 80-76 lead with 25 seconds to go.

Sydney Curry’s layup made it a two-point game with 15 seconds left before Green split a pair of free throws for an 81-78 lead a second later.

Mike James missed a 3-pointer from the right wing as time expired.
