Bucks Gaming and Warriors Gaming Squad remained perfect in the NBA 2K League’s The Turn event Tuesday, though they did so in very different ways.

First, the Warriors outscored Lakers Gaming in every quarter and won easily, 86-64, to improve to 4-0 overall. Kenneth “Kenny Got Work” Hailey led the way with 22 points while Charlie “CB13” Bostwick scored 20 points and handed out 13 assists for the winners. Ryan “Ryan1of1” Harris’ game-high 25 led the Lakers.

Later in the evening, Bucks Gaming carried a five-point lead into the fourth quarter, then held off a late charge by Pacers Gaming to win 62-60. Mason “JohhnyRed” Bracken led the Bucks with 21 points and added five assists, including one in the closing seconds to ice the win. Kory “Chess” Taylor led the Pacers with 20 points.

The NBA 2K League 5v5 season will include three tournaments — The Tipoff, The Turn and The Ticket — that will set the field for the playoffs, scheduled for Aug. 2-5 in Washington. 76ers GC defeated T-Wolves Gaming to claim The Tipoff earlier in June.

Remote group play in The Turn will establish the bracket for remote bracket play. The event will conclude with in-person tournament play at District E in Washington in late July.

The day wasn’t an entire loss for the Lakers, as they later picked up their first win of The Turn, a 70-60 decision over Kings Guard Gaming. Trey “TreyDollaz” Wright had 24 points and Ryan1of1 added 20 points in the win.

The night’s best individual performance was turned in by Claude “Claude” Knight, who dropped 40 points in Blazer5 Gaming’s 91-49 win over the Kings. Blazer5 actually trailed 22-9 after one period but outscored the Kings 82-27 the rest of the way, including 30-5 in the third.

Ky “Ky” Johnson wasn’t far behind on the leaderboard, scoring 38 points in Heat Check Gaming’s 67-62 win over Wizards District Gaming.

In other games Tuesday, Magic Gaming pulled out a narrow 66-64 win over Gen.G Tigers — who later beat the Heat 78-56 — NBL Oz Gaming defeated the Wizards 47-37, and Raptors Uprising GC topped Cavs Legion GC 77-59.
