Golden State Warriors standouts Klay Thompson and Draymond Green sat out Thursday night’s game against the host Portland Trail Blazers due to right knee injuries.

Golden State coach Steve Kerr said he expects both players to be available for Friday’s home game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Chris Paul started in place of Thompson (tendinitis) and Jonathan Kuminga got the call in place of Green (contusion).

Thompson and Green each made five 3-pointers in Tuesday’s 134-120 road win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Thompson scored 27 points and Green had 15 points, 10 assists and six rebounds.

The Warriors (44-35) entered Thursday’s game in 10th place in the Western Conference. Golden State will participate in next week’s play-in tournament.
