Cole Custer will return for a third season driving the No. 41 Haas Factory Team entry in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027, the team announced Friday.

“We are excited to have Cole Custer back,” team owner Gene Haas said. “… Cole is a championship-caliber driver who brings the consistency we need on a weekly basis and we are proud to continue to support him in the NASCAR Cup Series.”

Custer, 28, has just one top-10 finish in 31 Cup Series starts this season, a 10th-place effort at Daytona International Speedway on Aug. 29.

He posted his lone career win on the top circuit at Kentucky Speedway in 2020, the same season he won NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year honors.

Custer is a 15-time winner in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, including a 2023 season championship while driving for Stewart-Haas Racing.
