Martin Ojeda, Robin Jansson and Ivan Angulo scored in the first half and host Orlando City won for the third time in their past four matches, defeating D.C. United 5-0 on Saturday night.

Facundo Torres and Ramiro Enrique tallied goals in the second half as Orlando City (7-9-6, 27 points) maintained their offensive surge with a season high in goals.

Goalkeeper Pedro Gallese got the clean sheet and registered one save.

D.C. United (4-11-8, 20 points) have a 10-match winless streak, going 0-7-3 during that stretch. Goalkeeper Tyler Miller made five saves.

D.C. United played a man down in the second half after defender Lucas Bartlett exited with a red card assessed during extra time of the first half.

Orlando City have notched two or more goals in five consecutive matches, and it didn’t take long for the offense to get cranking.

Ojeda scored from the middle of the box in the 19th minute. Dagur Thorhallsson assisted on the goal, taking the ball to near the end line and then dishing the ball back to Ojeda, who notched his third goal of the season and his second in as many games.

Jansson, a defender who recorded his first goal since 2022, made it 2-0 on a header in the 23rd minute. Wilder Cartagena delivered the cross for the assist.

Angulo’s third goal of the season came in the 42nd minute.

D.C. United recorded only three total shot attempts in the half.

Duncan McGuire, who leads Orlando City in goals, supplied an assist in the second half for his second of the season.
