Sporting Kansas City acquired goalkeeper Stefan Cleveland from Austin FC on Wednesday in exchange for $50,000 in 2026 general allocation money.

Cleveland, 31, competed in just one Leagues Cup match and made one U.S. Open Cup appearance. He highlighted the latter match by making a save on a penalty kick in Austin FC’s 3-2 win over Pumas UNAM in July 2024.

Cleveland has four clean sheets in 29 career appearances with the Chicago Fire (2017-19), Seattle Sounders (2020-23) and Austin FC (2024-25).
