MLS: Report: Orlando City tried to acquire Richarlison

Orlando City SC tried to acquire Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison this summer, ESPN reported Wednesday.

Talks to bring the Brazilian star to MLS broke down over a potential transfer fee of $46.4 million, per the report.

Richarlison, 28, is in his fourth season with the Premier League’s Spurs and is under contract through June 2027.

Internationally, he has 20 goals in 52 caps for Brazil heading into upcoming friendlies with South Korea and Japan.
