Austin FC extended midfielder Dani Pereira’s contract through the 2027-28 season on Friday.

Pereira, the franchise’s first-ever MLS SuperDraft pick (No. 1 overall in 2021), also has an option for 2028-29.

The 25-year-old Venezuelan has six goals and 21 assists in 156 matches across all competitions since 2021.

“Austin has become home for me and my family,” Pereira said. “This team and city mean a lot to me and I’m very grateful to sign a new contract to extend my time here.”

Internationally, Pereira has earned eight caps for Venezuela, including one in a FIFA World Cup qualifier in September 2024.
