The New York Yankees placed left-handed pitcher Wandy Peralta on the 15-day injured list, reinstated left-hander Zack Britton from the 60-day IL and designated infielder/outfielder Miguel Andujar for assignment Thursday.

Earlier in the day, the Yankees reinstated right-hander Scott Effross from the 15-day IL.

Peralta’s move to the injured list was retroactive to Monday. The Yankees said he has left thoracic spine tightness.

In his first full season with the Yankees, the 31-year-old reliever is 3-4 with four saves and a 2.72 ERA in 56 appearances. He has struck out 47 batters over 56 1/3 innings of work.

Britton, 34, has yet to play this year after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his left elbow.

A two-time All-Star with the Baltimore Orioles (2015, 2016), Britton made rehab appearances for Class-A Tampa, Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, pitching to a 1.35 ERA in eight games.

Effross, 28, was placed on the injured list on Aug. 21 with a shoulder strain. He was one of several players the Yankees acquired before the trade deadline. They dealt minor league right-hander Hayden Wesneski to the Chicago Cubs to land Effross.

Effross has a 3.24 ERA over eight appearances for the Yankees, finishing two games and picking up one save.

Andujar has played in 259 career games, all for the Yankees, over parts of the past six seasons. The 27-year-old is a career .273 hitter but was batting .229 with just one home run and eight RBIs over 27 appearances for New York this season.

Andujar requested a trade when he was optioned to Triple-A earlier this season.
