The Philadelphia Phillies have scheduled a meeting with free agent shortstop Bo Bichette, The Athletic reported on Thursday.

A two-time All-Star with the Toronto Blue Jays, Bichette batted .311 with 18 homers and 94 RBIs in 139 games last season for the American League pennant winners.

His video conference call with the Phillies will take place “in the coming days,” per the report.

Bichette, 27, returned from a knee injury to play in the 2025 postseason and batted .348 in the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. His three-run, third-inning homer off Shohei Ohtani gave Toronto a 3-1 lead in Game 7, which the Dodgers won 5-4 in 11 innings.

A second-round pick by the Blue Jays in 2016, Bichette is a lifetime .294 hitter with 111 home runs and 437 RBIs in 748 games since making his debut in 2019.

Defensively, Bichette has played exclusively at shortstop during the regular season. He started four games at second base in the World Series.

With All-Star Trea Turner at shortstop, Philadelphia could ask Bichette to play third base and potentially move on from Alec Bohm.

It is expected to be a competitive market for Bichette, with the Dodgers, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and the Chicago Cubs all showing interest.
