The Miami Marlins activated All-Star outfielder Jorge Soler from the 10-day injured list on Sunday and started him at designated hitter against the visiting Atlanta Braves.

Soler had been placed on the IL on Sept. 6 because of a right oblique strain after feeling discomfort while taking swings on Sept. 5.

In a corresponding move, the Marlins optioned rookie outfielder Dane Myers to Triple-A Jacksonville.

An All-Star this season, Soler entered Sunday batting .240 with 71 RBIs and a team-high 35 home runs in 466 at-bats over 126 games.

Soler, 31, has been in the major leagues since 2014 with the Chicago Cubs (2014-16), Kansas City Royals (2017-21), Braves (2021) and Marlins (2022-23). He is hitting .241 with 169 homers and 448 RBIs in 859 games.

Myers, 27, is 18-for-67 (.269) in 22 games this season.

In other moves, Miami selected right-hander Chi Chi Gonzalez’s contract from Jacksonville and optioned left-hander Josh Simpson to the Triple-A affiliate.

Gonzalez, 31, has pitched 2 2/3 innings over two games this season for a 3.38 ERA with one walk and two strikeouts. Simpson, 26, received his first MLB call-up on Sept. 12 but did not appear in a game.
