Left fielder Jurickson Profar returned to the San Diego Padres’ lineup on Sunday, while right fielder Fernando Tatis Jr. was not among the starting group.

Profar has been battling left patellar tendinitis and he left Friday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The knee was still bothersome as he missed Saturday’s 6-4 win over the Brewers.

Profar, 31, entered Sunday with a .320 average that ranks second in the majors. He has 10 homers and 48 RBIs in 79 games.

Tatis was plunked on the left elbow by a pitch from Milwaukee right-hander Colin Rea in the third inning on Friday. He exited in the fifth and also missed Saturday’s game.

Tatis, 25, also is dealing with right quadriceps soreness.

Tatis is hitting .279 with 14 homers and 36 RBIs in 80 games this season.
