Casey Schmitt homered, Matt Chapman added a key two-run single and the San Francisco Giants completed a four-game home sweep of the Colorado Rockies with a 5-4 victory on Sunday afternoon.

Jorge Soler had three hits and Derek Hill scored twice after a triple and a single for the Giants, who went 7-0 against the Rockies at home this season.

Schmitt’s homer, his third of the season, came on Colorado starter Austin Gomber’s 10th pitch of the game. The solo shot gave San Francisco a lead it never relinquished.

The Rockies pulled within 3-2 after Hunter Goodman’s RBI single in the sixth before Chapman’s two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the inning opened a three-run lead. Chapman’s hit scored Hill and Soler, who had singled consecutively with one out.

Colorado got back within 5-3 in the seventh on Michael Toglia’s 18th homer.

The Rockies loaded the bases with two outs in the eighth before the Giants’ Spencer Bivens induced a groundout from Brendan Rodgers.

Colorado closed within 5-4 in the ninth on Jacob Stallings’ RBI groundout, which moved Jake Cave to second base with one out.

Camilo Doval stranded Cave and secured his 20th save by striking out Sam Hilliard and getting Ezequiel Tovar to ground out to shortstop.

Randy Rodriguez (3-1) was credited with the win for San Francisco after throwing three innings, allowing two hits and one run, in relief of opener Erik Miller. Rodriguez struck out three.

Gomber (2-7) took the loss. He served up the Giants’ first three runs on six hits in 3 2/3 innings, walking one and striking out six.

Chapman finished with three hits and Michael Conforto chipped in with two for San Francisco, whose four-game winning streak matches its longest of the season.

Tovar collected three hits and scored twice for the Rockies, who continue a California swing in the week ahead with three games apiece at the Los Angeles Angels and San Diego Padres.

Toglia joined Goodman with two hits for Colorado, which was outhit 13-9.
