The Arizona Diamondbacks signed veteran outfielder Randal Grichuk to a one-year deal with a mutual option for 2025.

The deal is worth $1.5 million this year and includes a $6 million option with a $500,000 buyout for next season, as well as performance bonuses, per multiple reports.

Grichuk, 32, was a first-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Angels in 2009. Traded to the Cardinals in 2013, he made his major league debut with St. Louis in 2014 and since has played with the Toronto Blue Jays (2018-21), Colorado Rockies (2022-23) and Angels (2023).

Between the Rockies and Angels last season, Grichuk hit .267 with 16 homers and 44 RBIs in 118 games.

In 1,141 career games, Grichuk has a .249 average with 191 home runs and 556 RBIs. He is 10 hits shy of 1,000 for his career.

Arizona also placed right-hander Drey Jameson on the 60-day injured list to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. Jameson underwent Tommy John surgery in late September and is expected to miss the 2024 season.

Jameson, 26, went 3-1 with a 3.32 ERA in 15 appearances (three starts) last season.
