Henry “Henry” Leverette became the first-ever Madden millionaire, topping the seven-figure mark in career earnings by winning the Ultimate Madden Bowl championship on Friday in Las Vegas.

Henry, the top seed, defeated 10th-seeded Wesley “Wesley” Gittens 35-24 in the final at the House of Blues in the Mandalay Bay casino.

The title was worth $250,000, moving Henry’s career winnings in the Madden Championship Series (MCS) to $1,170,975. Henry, a 20-year-old from Chicago, also received a championship ring similar to those that go to Super Bowl winner. Henry captured his seventh MCS crown.

Wesley, a 25-year-old from Austin, Texas, who ranks No. 2 in career MCS earnings, pocketed $150,000 as the runner-up. That raised his career winnings to $720,675.

The championship game was tied 7-7 in the last minute of the first half before Henry got a 69-yard interception return for a touchdown from a virtual Night Train Lane.

Wesley got a touchdown reception from a virtual Travis Kelce to lead 17-14 in the third quarter. However, a 62-yard scoring catch from a virtual Calvin Johnson on the last play of the third put Henry up 21-17.

The players traded TDs early in the fourth quarter as Henry went up 28-24.

On fourth down with 48 seconds to go, another interception from Lane sealed the victory. Henry added a late touchdown to pad the final score.

“I feel amazing, man, I feel amazing,” Henry said. “I’m not going to lie. It wasn’t even by best game. I’m happy I got out of that one, man. I’m not playing my best, but at the end of the day, it don’t matter.”
