With full-time caddie Jason McDede away following the birth of his child, women’s world No. 1 Nelly Korda will be joined by Tiger Woods’ former caddie, Joe LaCava, for one week.

After several years on and off alongside Woods, LaCava confirmed last week that he is working full-time for men’s world No. 4 Patrick Cantlay after caddying for Cantlay at last week’s Wells Fargo Championship.

LaCava will be with Cantlay next week for the PGA Championship at Oak Hill in Pittsford, N.Y., but this week will caddie for Korda at the Cognizant Founders Cup at Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, N.J.

Korda is the favorite to win after logging six top-10 finishes in seven starts this year. She placed third at the Chevron Championship, the first major of the year.

LaCava, after caddying for Fred Couples, took over Woods’ bag in 2011. The 12-year Woods-LaCava relationship produced 11 wins, highlighted by the 2019 Masters. Woods, who underwent ankle surgery last month, reportedly was OK with LaCava teaming up with Cantlay.
