LOL: Team Liquid reach grand final of LCS Spring playoffs

Team Liquid swept Cloud9 3-0 on Saturday in the lower-bracket final of the League Championship Series Spring Split playoffs.

Team Liquid will face FlyQuest in the grand final Sunday for the first-place prize of $100,000.

The Spring Split playoff champion and runner-up will be the North American League of Legends circuit’s representatives in the Mid-Season Invitational, scheduled for May 1-19 in China. The LCS winner heads to the MSI main draw, while the second-place team will compete in the MSI’s play-in event.

On Saturday, Team Liquid prevailed in 30 minutes in red, then won two straight in blue — in 33 and 31 minutes.

Eom “UmTi” Seong-hyeon of Korea led the winners with a 9-4-23 kill-death-assist ratio.

Canada’s Joseph “Jojopyun” Pyun posted a 10-10-14 K-D-A for Cloud9.

LCS 2024 Spring Split playoff prize pool:
1. $100,000, berth in Mid-Season Invitational main draw
2. $50,000, berth in Mid-Season Invitational play-in event
3. $30,000 – Cloud9
4. $20,000 — 100 Thieves
5-6. No money — NRG, Dignitas
