How Singer Nick Jonas Manages His Diabetes

Celebrity singer Nick Jonas, 29 was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 13. He currently manages his diabetes with the help of a company called Dexcom. Having Type 1 diabetes, he must take medication because his body does not create any insulin or very little.

Dexcom is a glucose management monitoring system for diabetics.

Nick Jonas says having diabetes is a life challenge, but one that he can manage. He acknowledges “everyone’s journey with diabetes is different,” but staying top of it and remaining open-minded with new information can help with “living your happiest and healthiest life.”

At the Global Movement for Time in Range initiative, Nick Jonas said, “Having tools like Dexcom to be able to very easily and clearly track your numbers in real time and work towards a greater amount of time in range is something that’s been great to always raise awareness around,” he said of the company’s new Global Movement for Time in Range initiative.

Nick also opened up about his diabetes on the last Super Bowl advertisement.
