DOTA: Team Falcons grabs first place at DreamLeague Group Stage 2

Team Falcons swept BetBoom Team 2-0 in a battle for first place on Monday during Group Stage 2 action at DreamLeague Season 22.

The teams entered the day as the only two unbeaten teams remaining in Group Stage 2. Falcons won the first map in 42 minutes on green before tying things up with a 36-minute win on red. Oliver “skiter” Lepko of Slovakia averaged a 12.5-0.5-7.0 kills-deaths-assists ratio to lead the victors.

Team Falcons has yet to lose a map through four days of the stage.

Group Stage 2 features one round robin of the top eight teams to advance, and matches are best-of-three. The playoffs are a four-team, double-elimination bracket. The grand final will be a best-of-five match.

Critical ESL Pro Tour points toward qualification for additional 2024 events are also on the line. The event concludes March 10 at Meltdown London.

In other action Monday, Gaimin Gladiators worked hard to sweep Team Spirit. GG won the first map in a whopping 96 minutes on red and needed another 60 minutes to win the second map on green.

Xtreme Gaming beat last-place Aurora 2-1 by sandwiching a 50-minute win on green and a 27-minute win on red around Aurora’s 43-minute win on green.

Finally, OG rallied to a 2-1 win over Shopify Rebellion. Shopify won the first map in 39 minutes on green before OG tied the match with a 31-minute win on green and pulled off a 40-minute win on red to complete the comeback.
