DOTA: OG win showdown with 1win at Dota’s Elite League Season 2

OG registered two victories on Tuesday, including a 2-1 triumph over previously unbeaten 1win, leaving the teams tied for first place in the round-robin stage of the Elite League Season 2 at Lima, Peru.

OG (5-1) recorded a 2-0 win over BOOM Esports, while 1win (5-1) bounced back to defeat Execration 2-0.

The first group stage in the $800,000 Dota 2 event featured 16 teams, with the top eight moving on to compete in best-of-three matches that will determine playoff seeding.

The top four teams in the round-robin stage move into the playoffs’ upper bracket, while the lower four teams head to the playoffs’ lower bracket.

The double-elimination playoffs run Friday through Sunday, with all matches best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final. The winning side will receive $240,000, and the runner-up will get $120,000.

On Tuesday, OG began with a 54-minute victory on green against 1win, which responded with a 43-minute win on green. OG took the decisive third map in 36 minutes on green.

Bulgaria’s Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov paced OG with an average 11/4/14 kill-death-assist ratio.

OG won twice against BOOM Esports, both on green, in 37 minutes and 39 minutes. Peru’s Enzo “Timado” Gianoli led OG with a 13.5/1.0/12.0 K-D-A ratio.

1win swept Execration with a pair of wins on green, in 32 minutes and 37 minutes. Russia’s Ilya “CHIRA_JUNIOR” Chirtsov posted an 11/4/14 K-D-A ratio for 1win.

In the day’s other matches, Team Liquid trounced beastcoast 2-0, nouns stopped Shopify Rebellion 2-0, BOOM Esports handled Execration 2-0, Team Liquid edged Shopify Rebellion 2-1, and beastcoast nipped nouns 2-1.

The round-robin stage concludes Wednesday with four matches:

–Shopify Rebellion vs. 1win
–nouns vs. Team Liquid
–BOOM Esports vs. beastcoast
