DOTA: OG completes lengthy rally at DreamLeague Group Stage 2

OG charged back to beat Aurora 2-1 and move into third place in Group Stage 2 at DreamLeague Season 22 on Wednesday.

Aurora won the first map in 32 minutes playing on green, but OG stayed alive by prevailing in 88 minutes on green. It took another 52 minutes, also on green, for OG to win the clinching map. Timado totaled 27 kills, five deaths and 11 assists over OG’s two victorious maps.

Aurora fell to 0-5 through five matches and was mathematically eliminated from advancing.

DreamLeague Season 22 began with 16 top Dota 2 teams from around the world competing for shares of the $1 million prize pool. Eight teams advanced out of Group Stage 1.

Group Stage 2 features one round robin of the top eight teams to advance, and matches are best-of-three. The playoffs are a four-team, double-elimination bracket. The grand final will be a best-of-five match.

Critical ESL Pro Tour points toward qualification for additional 2024 events are also on the line. The event concludes March 10 at Meltdown London.

In Tuesday’s other action, Team Falcons remained perfect with a 2-0 sweep of Xtreme Gaming, winning in 51 minutes and 35 minutes on red. Team Spirit also swept its opponent, Shopify Rebellion, by winning in 31 minutes on green and 44 minutes on red.

BetBoom Team outlasted Gaimin Gladiators 2-1. BetBoom took the first map in 41 minutes on red before GG answered in 32 minutes on red. BetBoom finished things off with a 33-minute victory on green.
