Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen joined Team Liquid on Wednesday, two days after ending a dominant two-year run with Team Secret.
Fans had been speculating about the move by the 26-year-old Finnish star since former Secret teammate Ludwig “Zai” Wahlberg joined Liquid on Nov. 3.
It is the second stint with Liquid for MATUMBAMAN, who helped the European Dota 2 team win The International 2017. He was with Liquid from 2015-19 before stints with Chaos EC (2019) and Secret (2019-21).

Team Liquid have not announced any departures from the roster since signing zai and MATUMBAMAN. The other players include Michael “miCKe” Vu, Maximilian “qojqva” Brocker, Samuel “Boxi” Svahn, Tommy “Taiga” Le and Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi.
The Dota Pro Circuit 2021-22 season starts on Nov. 29.
