DOTA: Games of the Future final pits PlayTime vs. Yakult Brothers

PlayTime and Yakult Brothers will meet in Wednesday’s grand final of the Games of the Future Dota 2 tournament at Astana, Kazakhstan.

PlayTime swept Team Resilience and Yakult Brothers earned a 2-1 win against Rune Eaters in Tuesday’s semifinals.

Team Resilience and Rune Eaters will meet in a best-of-three third-place match prior to the best-of-five grand final.

The $1 million tournament began last Friday with 16 teams. The winning side will earn $350,000 and the runner-up will take home $160,000.

On Tuesday, PlayTime followed up a 47-minute win on green with a 50-minute victory on red. Abed “Abed” Yusop of the Philippines paced PlayTime with a 25-3-21 kills-deaths-assists ratio.

Yakult Brothers sandwiched 46- and 50-minute wins on green around Rune Eaters’ 29-minute victory on red. Zhou “Emo” Yi led the all-Chinese Yakult Brothers with a 37-11-26 K-D-A ratio.
