DOTA: 4 teams face elimination at BetBoom Dacha Dubai after openers

BetBoom Team, Gaimin Gladiators, Team Falcons and Azure Ray advanced to the upper-bracket semifinals to open play Sunday in the playoff stage at the BetBoom Dacha Dubai tournament in the United Arab Emirates.

All but Azure Ray swept their opponents 2-0 in best-of-three play.

Bet Boom Team won in 43 minutes on red and 32 minutes on green in sending LGD Gaming to the lower bracket. Gaimin Gladiators posted victories of 33 minutes on green and 35 minutes on red to defeat Team Spirit.

Xtreme Gaming pushed Team Falcons before TF prevailed in 51 minutes on red and 56 minutes on green.

Azure Ray opened its match with a 25-minute victory on green, but Team Liquid responded with a 36-minute triumph on red before Azure Ray won the decider in 45 minutes on red.

The four losing teams dropped to the lower bracket and will meet Monday to stay alive in the double-elimination tournament. LGD Gaming will play Team Spirit, and Xtreme Gaming will face Team Liquid.

The playoff stage runs through Friday. All matches are best of three except for the best-of-five grand final.
