DappRadar launches Sports Report, which focuses on Web3 projects and applications in FIFA and Sports to over $5 Billion People.

DappRadar has announced its Sports Report and it has highlighted how Web3 projects and applications are having a strong presence and deep impact in the world of sports. With the FIFA World Cup occupying center stage, Web3 blockchain Algorand is the official sponsor and blockchain partner of FIFA. Another world famous sport, Formula 1 also has a $100 million deal with Crypto exchange and a majority of its race teams are partners with other crypto brands.

DappRadar is a global decentralized applications (dapps) store. With more than one million users per month, the store is able to track, analyze and discover dapp activity through its online platform. Its inaugural Sports Report has focused on how Web3 projects and applications are increasing their presence as well as improving the experience of fans, in the world of sports.

The World Cup 2022, that is currently being played at Qatar is not only the most watched event across the world but could also connect billions of fans through Web3. It has been estimated that five billion people will watch the grandiose FIFA sporting event. The report says that Web3 will connect with many of these footie fans through several activities using blockchain such as interactive experiences, sponsorships and advertisements.

Some of these Web3 enabled experiences for football fans and attendees include the following: Football fans are in for a hybrid experience via VISA. The payments giant will allow World Cup attendees to get involved in an immersive experience as well take part in an NFT auction. Attendees can also create unique NFTs on the blockchain—Cronos.    Early in 2022, FIFA officially partnered with Algorand. The blockchain company launched FIFA’s first NFT marketplace.

It is called FIFA+ Collect. It enables football fans to collect tokens that feature iconic moments in both the FIFA World Cup as well as the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Other Web3 presence in Qatar includes sponsorships by Budweiser who will show its Web3 presence through Budverse as well as Crypto exchange that sponsors not only football games but also Formula 1 and other major sports.
