CSGO: Heroic, OG reach final four at Blast Premier Fall Showdown

Heroic and OG recorded their second straight sweeps Friday to qualify for the Round of 4 at the single-elimination Blast Premier Fall Showdown.

The two red-hot teams are now set to meet Sunday, with the winner clinching one of two available berths into the Fall Finals.

Heroic won a close match over Dignitas, starting with a 19-16 overtime squeaker on Nuke before wrapping up with a 16-13 victory on Overpass.

All five players for the all-Danish Heroic side finished with positive kills-to-deaths differentials, led by Ismail “refrezh” Ali (52 kills, plus-10 differential). Sweden’s Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson had 47 kills for Dignitas.

OG shut out Complexity Gaming 16-0 on Mirage before wrapping things up with a 16-12 triumph on Dust II.

Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen of Denmark had himself a day with a game-high 44 kills and a plus-21 K-D differential for OG. Poland’s Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski contributed 40 kills and a plus-16. For Complexity, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer of Denmark notched 35 kills and a plus-2.

All matches are best-of-three in the playoffs, which run through Sunday. The top two teams proceed to the Fall Finals. The winners take home $30,000 and earn 1,500 Blast Premier points in the $162,500 event.
